Donald Glover got to meet me today. Seriously though, his show was great— I don’t know where all that energy comes from, but the guy’s got a ton. Totally took me by surprise with how down to earth he was afterwards, and it made my both forget to ask the questions I had (like “where did you get those jeans?” and “I feel like an idiot asking, but would you be a guest on my podcast?”), and that I was talking to an Emmy award-winning writer. So if you’re reading this, Donald, I can actually tell you what I want to get out: Thank you. For everything. The inspiration to work hard, the 30 best minutes of every Thursday, the soundtracks that score my life, the masterclasses in comedic timing, and the mental image of the best Yeezy/GaGa concert of all time.

I’m seeing this guy live tonight here in Montreal! I’ve gone from huge fan to unimpressed to fascinated admiration, so it’s safe to say I’m looking forward to Bo Burnham’s show, if only to see how the intimicy of a live performance compares to that of a one man video-in-a-bedroom.
